Artists, athletes, and astronauts are more alike than you may know. Our performance is practice. We are on a journey of discovery to the unknown. Our creativity is embedded in our reps. We ignite feelings and push the boundaries of the body, for the sake of art, entertainment, evolution, exploration and more. Intuition is vital in our pursuit. Whether on-stage or on-court, in the lab or on the launch pad, it’s important that we have clothing that can keep up with us.
astral unit is an apparel project rooted in archival research that blends celestial aesthetics with black narratives by leveraging athletic and everyday silhouettes to deliver attire and accessories that can support the many hats today’s artist must wear. With a prioritization in comfortability and flexibility, we hope our apparel will become a part of your world of work, whatever work means for you.
I’ve Got The Universe On My Mind.
I have a constant to-do list but no curriculum to follow. I am in my head trying to sort it all out. I am talented? I am talented. What are my talents? What fulfills me? What can I make money from? What won’t I share? What are my goals? How will I achieve them? Why? Will anyone remember? Why?
I’m thinking about the future. My future. I have thoughts about the world & my place in it. I am considering the global cultural landscape as it relates to...everything? Everything. [the universe] I spend too much time on my phone. I consume too many bite-sized videos when I am not hunched over a laptop. I consume everything the digital buffet has to offer. I work. [too] I have questions about labor, what constitutes. I am making mistakes. I am making art. What is art? What is space? Is my work important? Can fact feel my truth? I am getting dressed every day. I got the universe on my mind.
This New York Fashion Week season, I am returning with my latest project. astral unit, is an apparel project rooted in archival research that blends celestial aesthetics with Black narratives by leveraging athletic and everyday silhouettes to deliver attire and accessories that can support the many hats today’s artist must wear.
A reimagination of a classic accessory. A lightweight, breathable, soft, polyester fabric cut, sewn, and printed at 25.25" x 25.25". With many styles to choose from, this collection serves as a simple introduction and a brief glimpse into the future design direction of this product line, as well as the next few collections in this project.
It’s about kicking things into gear, in the same way I tie my bandana tight right before I am about to get to work.

For online orders we work with a print-on-demand drop shipper. They have locations worldwide, so depending on where you are, your orders are printed and shipped from the facility that can do it most efficiently!
For samples, projects and special projects products are made by Arial by hand or in collaboration with local manufacturers to bring a unique IRL shopping experience!

We don’t offer exchanges at the moment. If you’re unsure which size would fit better, check out our sizing charts—we have one for every item listed on our store, in the product description section.
Though rare, it's possible that an item you ordered was mislabelled. If that’s the case, please let us know at soularlab@gmail.com within 3 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and photos of the mislabeled item, and we’ll send you a new one, or issue a refund!
Refunds are only offered to customers that receive the wrong items or damaged items. If any of these apply, please let us know by contacting us at soularlab@gmail.com and within 3 days of delivery, if your order qualifies for a refund we will follow up with next steps to reach a resolution.

Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address
Ask your local post office if they have your package
Stop by your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn't left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, get in touch with us at soularlab@gmail.com with your order number. If you did find a mistake in your delivery address, we can send you a replacement order, but shipping will be at your own cost.
