Songs From The Girls Room: The Playlist
In collaboration with Hum Haus, Arial Robinson, the author of Songs From The Girls Room & the Director of The Soular Lab is thrilled to bring you Songs From The Girls Room: The Playlist.
Songs From The Girls Room is a poetry collection book by Arial Robinson that consists of songs & poems addressed to the feelings and experiences that make the bathroom the transformative space that it is. A dash of reflection sprinkled with a bit of imagination. This collection is a culmination of themes and thoughts helping her to define my womanhood & carve out a perspective that honors tradition, but urges us to examine the ever changing concept of identity, through the Black feminine lens.
In celebration of the 100 Days of the Songs From The Girls Room book, Hum Haus is more than happy to bring the songs that lathered Arial's Girls Room with the full range of emotions, to streaming platforms. Curated from the digital exhibition on display through The Soular Lab's website, this collaborative playlist was crafted for you to enjoy and expand with wherever you go or choose to listen on.
Discover the music & use it as a mirror to reflect back on yourself.
