I Tabled At My First Zine Festival & I’m Already Itching To Do Another.

It’s time to get out of my phone and out in the world, so I packed my bags and took a day trip to Washington DC where I tabled at my first zine fest. Read about how I brought my table to life for DC Zine Fest and my recommendations for others looking to be a part a part of a zine fair/festival.

I Worked 3 Different Internships This New York Fashion Week.

For NYFW SS25 I worked three different internships. In this entry I will detail my experience with each and how you can get involved if you're interested in exploring the fashion industry.

I Almost Had A Book Signing With No Books.

To close out June and the first half of 2024 I hosted my first book signing in celebration of my third book and debut poetry collection Songs From The Girls Room. Hosted at Archive CLT discover how preparing for this event stretched me, forced me to be still, and allowed me to grow with the book.

I Gave My First Public Lecture Style Talk & I Didn’t Puke.

To close out March I gave my first public lecture style talk at NC State University. A year in the making, discover the full process it took to prepare & present, along with the the full lecture footage.

I Designed A Few Postcards For Solange & I Hope They Make It To Her Safely.

At the top of March Solange announced “Cut and Shoot,” a postcard series to foster physical connections within her community. She opened her PO box for postcards and I made her a few. Discover my process of bringing them to life and learn how you can do the same.

Soular World Magazine was a black centered "everything" mini magazine that ran two issues January & February of 2023. Dedicated to taking a deeper dive into the world's of regular people doing extraordinary things. Under the direction of Editor-In-Chief, Arial Robinson, SWM was a short concept publication where the child never grows ups. That inner youth follows us along our journeys and allows us the space to explore, document and reflect. From fashion and lifestyle to arts and literature, the world was ours to discover.

If you’re not familiar with Reuben Vincent, now is a great time to tap into the Jamala Records/Roc Nation artist. The Charlotte, NC native just dropped his debut album, Love is War and Soular World Magazine got a glimpse into his first performance since it was released January of 2023.
